Climbing Back to the Top

I chose this blog title because getting this college experience was nothing like I imagined, in good ways and bad. Everywhere I went I was meeting new people and striking interesting conversations. At the same time I was being assigned hours of challenging homework and being throttled in the wrestling; both of which I was not used to. Back home, I was the king of my wrestling room since freshmen year. I came into the high school wrestling straight out of junior high, dominating varsity kids in my weight class. As an upperclassman at one of the top wrestling schools in the state, losing was not something I was accustomed to. I concluded my high school wrestling career with a state championship win in the Rabobank area. Walking into the UC Davis wrestling room I thought my dominating process would start all over, but I soon realized I was wrong. I was thrown around like a rag doll the entire first quarter. I soon realized I was going to have to earn my way to becoming a top competitor at this level.
